A data processing-based method and device for controlling cost risk of a traditional Chinese medicine prescription medication, the method comprising: acquiring a traditional Chinese medicine prescription of a medical unit to be monitored, the traditional Chinese medicine prescription comprising at least one dose of Chinese herbal medicine; acquiring Chinese herbal medicine medication information of each dose of Chinese herbal medicine in the traditional Chinese medicine prescription, and determining the daily average medication cost of the medical unit to be monitored according to the Chinese herbal medicine medication information; determining whether the Chinese herbal medicine used by the medical unit to be monitored exceeds the standard according to the daily average medication cost and a corresponding daily average medication cost threshold of the medical unit to be monitored; and if the Chinese herbal medicine used by the medical unit to be monitored exceeds the standard, performing risk control on the medical unit to be monitored in regards to the Chinese herbal medicine medication cost that exceeds the standard on the basis of the daily average medication cost. The present method may improve the accuracy in monitoring the use of Chinese herbal medicines by medical units, improve the reliability in monitoring the use of medicine by medical units, and has good applicability.
