Disclosed is an optical amplifier rearrangement method for an optical fiber-upgraded elastic optical network. The method comprises the following operations for a single upgrade link: traversing amplifiers of an upgrade link by using a redundancy removing mode, removing redundant EDFAs on the upgrade link, and calculating a cost saved by removing redundancy; rearranging the amplifiers of the upgrade link by using a complete rearrangement mode, rearranging all the EDFAs on the upgrade link, and calculating a cost saved by complete rearrangement; comparing the cost saved by the redundancy removing mode with the cost saved by the complete rearrangement mode in the upgrade link, and selecting the mode saving a higher cost as an optical amplifier rearrangement method of the upgrade link; and repeating the steps to perform a rearrangement operation on all optical amplifiers on the upgrade link in sequence. The method can reduce the number of optical amplifiers to the maximum extent, and cannot obviously lower the utilization rate of spectrum resources, thereby saving on the cost while also increasing the utilization rate of resources.
