Disclosed is a method for rearranging optical amplifiers of an elastic optical network after optical fiber upgrading. The method comprises the following operations for a single upgrading link: using a redundancy removing mode to traverse amplifiers of the upgrading link, removing redundant EDFA in the upgrading link, and calculating to obtain the cost saved by redundancy removal; using a complete rearrangement mode to rearranging amplifiers of the upgrading link, rearranging all EDFA in the upgrading link, and calculating to obtain the cost saved by complete rearrangement; comparing the cost saved by redundancy removal with the cost saved by the complete rearrangement, and selecting the method which saves more cost as the method for rearranging optical amplifiers of the upgrading link; repeating the above steps and performing rearrangement operation on optical amplifiers of all upgrading links in sequence. The method can reduce the quantity of optical amplifiers to the maximum extent without obviously reducing the spectrum resource utilization rate, thereby improving the resource utilization rate at the same time of saving cost.
