A method for evaluating a multi-modal emotional understanding capability of a patient with autism spectrum disorder. The method comprises the following steps: 1) setting a multi-modal evaluation environment, wherein the multi-modal evaluation environment is used for stimulating a subject under test, and the multi-modal evaluation environment comprises: a visual scene, a verbal communication scene and an emotional communication scene; 2) collecting multi-modal evaluation information, wherein the evaluation information comprises intelligence information, behavior data and eye movement data of the subject under test; and 3) carrying out statistical analysis to obtain an emotional understanding capability of the subject being tested, wherein the step of carrying out statistical analysis comprises: carrying out statistical analysis on the behavior data, carrying out statistical analysis on the eye movement data, and combining the behavior data with the eye movement data for statistical analysis. An approach of objective evaluation is added on the basis of original artificial evaluation, thereby providing evidence for accurately and effectively evaluating social communication and emotional understanding capabilities of a patient.
