The present invention relates to an SNP marker composition for determining the genetic background or variety of native chickens, and a use thereof. The SNP marker composition of the present invention is a combination of SNP markers that are variety-specific and optimized for accurately identifying a new variety of native chickens so as to be utilized as a means of preventing a fraudulent action in a distribution process of native chickens, and is expected to increase consumer confidence in native chickens, thereby contributing to an increase in the income of poultry-producing farms.
