The invention lies at the heart of a geosocial service entitled "Citymentality" for interactive navigation with augmented reality (AR) and multimedia support (audio/photo/video/text data) using a crowdsourcing-based method for generating content. The invention relates to a geosocial network, a navigation service, a mobile application and a web portal for providing ordinary users with the possibility of independently creating and using interactive routes and points of interest (POI) with virtual tags, indicators, signs, lines, symbols, informational augmented reality elements, and also other multimedia support including audio, photo, video and text data, the invention being characterized in that ordinary users not necessarily having special skills are provided with the technical capacity to independently generate, with the aid of video/photographic cameras, GLONASS/GPS modules, a microphone and a conventional functionality commonly found in mobile devices, informational augmented reality symbols, including animated pictures and Chinese characters, as well as photo, video, audio and text data, and to interactively link these to given coordinates, thus assigning them to specific locations (objects and sites of events) and/or routes, and to use the given multimedia support. The principle of crowdsourcing used, whereby the bulk of the content for informational navigation is created by the users themselves, resulting in a great deal of variety in terms of the themes of the content, and creating significant potential for the rapid addition of data in order to render navigation and social networks more informative. An innovative method of preserving ethno-cultural heritage is provided, whereby melodies, fairy tales, rare dialects and other similar cultural elements are interactively linked to specific locations and the given multimedia information can be activated by a user, for example, specifically when they are visiting a particular place and/or route. A novel channel for creative fulfilment and specialist expression is provided. Furthermore, a novel channel for marketing is provided, in which analysis of the data obtained makes it possible to create favourable conditions for future clients of the claimed service for the commercial placement of points of interest and other advertising, conditions are created for generating content not only in Russian, but also in Chinese and other foreign languages, practical conditions are created for effective monetization, and stimulus is provided for the development of location-based advertising (LBA) and electronic payment systems, reflected in the practical possibility of selling and/or buying goods and/or services by providing links to locations and significant amounts of information by virtue of multimedia support and augmented reality. Conditions are created for stimulating marketing, education and sport through games by using augmented reality and multimedia support in interactive routes with POIs, for example, in the form of new waypoints indicated by a specially assigned virtual tag which can be visualized with the aid of a monitor of a mobile device when a particular problem is solved or a certain speed of travel from one point of an interactive route to another is achieved.
