The invention relates to a torsional vibration damper (1) with a rotational axis (2) for a powertrain (3), having at least the following components: an input side (4) for receiving a torque; an output side (5) for dispensing the torque; at least one intermediate element (6, 7) which is connected between the input side (4) and the output side (5) so as to transmit a torque; at least one energy storage element (6, 17) by means of which the intermediate element (6, 7) is supported so as to be able to vibrate relative to the input side (4) and the output side (5); and at least one rolling body (8, 9, 10, 11), said intermediate element (6, 7) having a transmission path (12) which belongs to the rolling body (8, 9, 10, 11), wherein the input side (4) or the output side (5) forms a path side (13), and the respective other side (5, 4) forms a force side (14). The path side (13) has a counter path (15) which complements the transmission path (12), and the rolling body (8, 9, 10, 11) is guided in a rotatable manner between the transmission path (12) and the counter path (15) in order to transmit a torque. The torsional vibration damper (1) is primarily characterized in that the force side (14) is connected to the intermediate element (6, 7) by means of the energy storage element (16, 17) so as to transmit a torque. The torsional vibration damper proposed here allows an inexpensive and efficient influence on the natural frequency to be achieved using few components.
