This emblem system (4) comprises: an emblem (20); a sensor (50) provided to the rear surface of the emblem (20), the sensor (50) being capable of acquiring information about the surroundings of a vehicle; an emblem lamp (41) that lights up the emblem (20); and a lamp control unit (45) that varies the illumination mode of the emblem lamp (41) when a signal is acquired from a vehicle control unit (3) that controls the vehicle (1), the signal indicating that the vehicle (1) has switched between traveling in manual driving mode and traveling in autonomous driving mode.
