A vehicle (1) comprises a base body (10) having a platform (28) for supporting both laterally oriented feet of a user. A steerable front axle (50) is supported on the base body (10), a steering axis defined by the front axle being inclined with respect to a normal line to the platform (28) by an angle α, a single front wheel (30) being mounted to the front axle such that an axis of rotation of the front wheel (30) is arranged in a distance d from the steering axis and the front wheel (30) having an effective radius. The steerable front axle of the vehicle (1) is not operable by a manual steering device for controlling the front axle. The vehicle (1) further comprises at least one rear wheel (70) having a fixed wheel orientation that is mounted to the base body (10) in a wheelbase distance from the front wheel (30) and a resetting mechanism acting on the steerable front axle, having a spring rate kST. The distance d, the angle α and the spring rate kST as well as further parameters are chosen such that certain relations are satisfied at a predetermined inclination angle of the vehicle (1). This ensures that the vehicle (1) has favorable handling characteristics.
