According to the present invention, a method for quantifying a metal flow stores initial coordinate values of a plurality of nodal points virtually set in an object, identifies a segment or a curve connecting points having the same initial coordinate values as a metal flow when plastic deformation of the object is performed, calculates a metal flow function corresponding the metal flow for each position of particles of the object, and calculates a metal flow density vector function, which is a gradient of the metal flow function. The method may quantitatively figure out defects of the object.
