The present invention relates to graphite felt coated with multimodal porous carbon and a redox flow battery using the same as an electrode, and more specifically, to a method of manufacturing graphite felt having a multimodal porous carbon coating layer, an electrode for a redox flow battery using the same and a redox flow battery including the same as an electrode. The method includes a polymer solution preparation step of dissolving inherent microporous polymer in a good solvent; a polymer solution coating step of coating graphite felt with the polymer solution; a porous structural layer forming step of forming a porous structural layer on a surface of the graphite felt coated with the polymer solution through a phase transition scheme; and a carbonization step of carbonizing the surface porous structure layer of the graphite felt.
