The present invention relates to an Aspergillus strain producing -glucosidase, and -glucosidase produced thereby. In particular, BGL1 and BGL2 produced in Aspergillus strain YDJ216 isolated from compost were found to be -glucosidase isozymes, and although sharing many similar enzymatic characteristics, the inactivity of BGL1 on pGLP was remarkably higher than that of BGL2. Moreover, the aforesaid result indicates that BGL1 may be a monomeric peptide of 93 kDa, and BGL2 may be a dimeric peptide of 45 kDa. In addition, BGL1 was found to have a significantly higher kcat value than BGL2 (1,477 versus 99.7 s-1), and BGL1 and BGL2 exhibited an identical Km value. BGL1 and BGL2 effectively hydrolyzed flavonoid glycosides, and reaction products thereof exhibited an inhibitory effect on MAO-A, suggesting that the hydrolysis of flavone glycosides could provide a means for improving MAO-A inhibitors.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
