Disclosed is an e-commerce system and, more particularly, to a cryptocurrency-based e-commerce system for using value-variable currencies in purchasing a product or a service like value-fixed currencies and an operation method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a public blockchain cryptocurrency platform listed on an external exchange and fixed cryptocurrencies or tokens given as rewards for purchases of products and services and activities on a website can satisfy a trading means function, a value storing means function and an investment asset function of cryptocurrencies through the concept of conversion called internal exchange.
