The present invention relates to a hierarchical classification-based incremental class learning method and a computing device for digital storytelling which suggest a hierarchical classification model capable of incremental class learning when recommending suitable multimedia or services. The incremental class learning method uses a classification model consisting of a blocking ARTMAP module and a classification ARTMAP module to allow hierarchical classification, and comprises: (a) a step in which input information of different channels is inputted into a blocking ARTMAP module and a classification ARTMAP module; (b) a step in which an input vector reflecting the input information of the different channels inputted in the step (a) is inputted into a blocking ARTMAP module of an arbitrary layer to output incremental information to a next arbitrary layer, and the input vector reflecting the input information of the different channels inputted in the step (a) is inputted into a classification ARTMAP module of an arbitrary layer to output a class vector of the arbitrary layer herein; and (c) a step in which the class vector of the arbitrary layer outputted in the step (b) is added to the input vector reflecting the input information of the different channels of the step (b).
