According to the present invention, disclosed are a surgical assist device for performing 3D analysis based on a liver cancer region in a CT image, and a method thereof. The surgical assist device of the present invention includes: an input unit receiving multiple CT images; and a control unit which detects a liver region, a blood vessel in the liver region, and a cancer region in the liver region, respectively based on the input multiple CT images, performs 3D modeling on the detected liver region, blood vessel, and cancer region, respectively, and performs 3D modeling on the entire liver region by synthesizing the 3D modeled liver region, blood vessel and cancer region.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
