Disclosed are a weak magnetic flux control device for driving a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) and a method thereof. The weak magnetic flux control method comprises the steps of: correcting and normalizing current speed information in accordance with a change in a direct current (DC) link voltage; and estimating a dq-axis current command by inputting torque and normalized speed information into a speed-torque two-dimensional look up table (2D-LUT). The 2D-LUT creates the 2D-LUT at the minimum voltage of the DC link voltage, and the 2D-LUT at the minimum voltage can be generated by substitution to correspond to the maximum voltage in accordance with a ratio between the minimum voltage of the DC link voltage and the maximum voltage of the DC link voltage.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
