PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling a plurality of brushless dc motor and method for controlling the same are provided to sense the lock status of a plurality of brushless by using the minimum current sensor. CONSTITUTION: The convertor part(200) rectifies the commercial AC source to the DC power supply. The smoothing circuit part levels and broad the DC power supply outputted in the convertor part. The inverter unit changes the outputted DC power supply at the smoothing circuit part to three phase AC power source. The current sensor(600) senses the sum of the output current of the each other different phase. According to the sensing result of the current sensor, the controller(500) controls the drive of the inverter unit.
