AV1 Motion-Constrained AV1 Encoding Method and Apparatus forTiled Streaming

Provided are a motion-constrained AV1 image encoding method for tile-based streaming of an image with ultra-capacity and a device thereof, which encode tile-based segmented images to be integrated and decoded at a bitstream level without modifying an AV1 standard decoder. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the motion-constrained encoding method is a motion-constrained encoding method of an AV1 image based on a tile, comprising: a step of constraining a motion prediction range on the basis of a format and size of an image; and a step of predicting motion vectors for tiles configuring the image on the basis of the constrained motion prediction range. Accordingly, a tile-based streaming service can be performed through motion-constrained AV1 encoding of an image with super-capacity such as 360 VR or panoramic image. In addition, according to the embodiments of the present invention, segmented images can be integrated and decoded by using one standard AV1 decoder in a consumer electronic device.
