Disclosed is a method for rectifying stereo images captured by calibrated cameras, comprising the steps of: receiving first camera internal and external parameter matrixes of a first calibrated stereo camera, and second camera internal and external parameter matrixes of a second calibrated stereo camera; receiving a point set of points of an object in a three-dimensional space, a first projection result in which the point set is projected to a first image of the first stereo camera, and a second projection result in which the point set is projected to a second image of the second stereo camera; replacing one of the first stereo camera and the second stereo camera with a virtual camera to obtain one rectification image; and calculating a virtual camera projection matrix by using a virtual image plane for the virtual camera and a virtual camera external parameter matrix for the virtual camera. According to the present invention, the quality of a three-dimensional stereo image can be significantly improved.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
