The present invention relates to a treatment method and use of red mud generated in an aluminum hydroxide manufacturing process. More specifically, the present invention relates to a treatment method of red mud generated in an aluminum hydroxide manufacturing process, comprising: a first step of collecting red mud generated during the aluminum hydroxide manufacturing process; a second step of injecting a liquid treating agent and/or a solid treating agent to the collected red mud and conducing a mixing reaction; and a third step of obtaining a reactant. The present invention also relates to a method of using the obtained reactant as a filling material or constructural raw material, and a fertilizer raw material.
