According to an embodiment of the present invention, an around-view monitor (AVM) system comprises: a vehicle location tracking unit to acquire a vehicle location value based on at least one among a vehicle driving speed, a vehicle driving direction, and a vehicle rotation angle; a surrounding image acquisition unit to acquire a front image, a rear image, a left image, and a right image by a plurality of cameras installed on a vehicle, and then map the vehicle location value to store the images; an AVM image generation unit to use the front image, the rear image, the left image, and the right image to generate an AVM image; a blind spot location extraction unit to identify a blind spot in the AVM image, and extract a blind spot location value based on image coordinate information of the blind spot; and an AVM image correction unit to search previously stored front images or rear images to acquire an image of interest having a vehicle location value corresponding to the blind spot location value, and use the image of interest to restore the blind spot in the AVM image.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
