The present invention relates to a composition for diagnosing Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae (App) infection, comprising a recombinant antigen protein of exotoxin ApxIVA of App; a kit for diagnosing App infection, comprising the composition; and a method for diagnosing App infection in a non-human subject by using the kit. The present invention has discovered an antigen candidate region capable of diagnosing a subject naturally infected with App by using the exotoxin ApxIVA. In particular, the ApxIVA recombinant antigen protein of the present invention selected by structural estimation of exotoxin ApxIV proteins can diagnose App infection with high specificity and sensitivity without causing cross-reactions between Apx exotoxins.
