A super capacitor module is provided. In some embodiments, the super capacitor may include a first super capacitor, a second super capacitor, and an interconnect electrically connecting the first super capacitor and the second super capacitor in series. The casing may encapsulate at least the first super capacitor and the second super capacitor. The operating voltage of the super capacitor module can be greater than 3.5 volts, and the equivalent series resistance of the super capacitor module can be less than about 10 ohms.
