In the present disclosure, the surface of the reduced graphene oxide (rGO) region is reduced by reducing a desired region or a patterned region of the graphene oxide layer according to a photothermal reaction by laser irradiation. Methods of inducing growth of neurons using morphological features (specifically surface nanomorphological features) are described.
