The present invention relates to a method for regenerating a raw material for a positive electrode active material precursor from a waste cathode material of a lithium ion secondary battery, a raw material for a positive electrode active material precursor, a positive electrode active material precursor, a positive electrode active material, a positive electrode and a lithium ion secondary battery regenerated thereby. The present invention is characterized in that it comprises the step of recovering the metal component through a solvent extraction method using a bis (al-ene-methyl) phosphonic compound. More specifically, nickel, cobalt and manganese composite metal sulfate solution is prepared and purified using a selective precipitation method according to the pH of the metal ion, and impurities generated during the purification process are purified using a solvent extraction method using a novel chelating agent. At least one or more of the nickel, cobalt, and manganese components contained therein can be recovered. According to the present invention, the precursor raw material can be regenerated by a low cost and high efficiency process capable of simultaneously recycling nickel, cobelt and manganese.
