Provided are a heavy duty coating composition and a construction method using the same. The heavy duty coating composition of the present invention comprises: an upper layer in the thickness of 45 to 55 m; a middle layer in the thickness of 95 to 105 m; and a lower layer in the thickness of 70 to 80 m. The upper layer includes 40 to 80 wt% of a urethane resin, 5 to 30 wt% of a reactive diluent, and 10 to 40 wt% of a curing agent with respect to the total weight of the upper layer. The middle layer includes 40 to 80 wt% of an epoxy resin, 5 to 30 wt% of a reactive stone diluent, and 10 to 40 wt% of a curing agent with respect to the total weight of the middle layer. Also, the lower layer includes 30 to 80 wt% of an epoxy resin, 3 to 15 wt% of an anionic emulsifier, 5 to 30 wt% of a reactive diluent, 10 to 30 wt% of a curing agent, and 1 to 10 wt% of a dispersing agent with respect to the total weight of the lower layer. The heavy duty coating composition for a steel bridge and a steel plant does not discharge harmful substances to be eco-friendly, forms physically and chemically stable a film on a target surface for forming the film, and can improve salt damage and neutralization preventing performance, water resistance, and corrosion resistance.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
