The present invention relates to an artificial intelligence (AI) based apparatus for providing customized tool recommendation information and a method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, an AI based apparatus for providing customized tool recommendation information comprises: a communication unit for receiving tool product purchase information and tool product history information for tool product purchase from a user terminal; a pattern calculating unit for calculating a purchase pattern and a history pattern from the tool product purchase information and the tool product history information; and a recommendation unit which generates customized tool recommendation information for a new tool product purchase request based on the purchase pattern and the history pattern.
