The present invention relates to an apparatus for attenuating floor impact sound in a low frequency band using an acoustic metamaterial and a method therefor. The floor impact sound attenuation device of the present invention attenuates the floor impact sound of the low frequency band in a floating floor structure in which a floor plate constituting the floor of the upper layer of the building, a lower plate partitioning the upper and lower layers, and a buffer layer provided between the floor plate and the lower plate are laminated to each other. . To this end, the floor impact sound damping device includes a plurality of acoustic meta materials, and a low frequency band corresponding to a bending mode vibration pattern of a merge mode in which the bottom plate and the bottom plate are flexibly vibrated by the floor impact and a non-merge mode in which the bottom plate is flexibly vibrated. The acoustic meta-material composites are arranged in groups along the planar area of the floating floor structure so that the floor impact sound of the is damped. According to the present invention, the frequency band having the greatest impact on the floor impact sound is selected by the merging and non-merge mode generation characteristics of the floating floor structure, and accordingly the acoustic metamaterial is optimized for the floating floor structure to reduce the corresponding mode. By applying, it is possible to effectively reduce the low-frequency band impact sound.
