This disclosure relates to ejector mechanisms and devices for generating a directed stream of droplets, as well as improved methods for delivering a ejected stream of droplets to a target. Devices and methods may be useful for the delivery of fluids for use in ophthalmic, topical, oral, nasal, or pulmonary applications, particularly for delivery of ophthalmic fluids to the eye. Certain aspects of the disclosure relate to devices and methods for delivery of a therapeutically effective low-dose pharmaceutical composition to a target, for example by controlling the charge, droplet size and / or droplet application parameters of the pharmaceutical composition.
