The present invention relates to single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) for predicting risk factors of metabolic syndrome and a use thereof. Specifically, through a step of constructing and producing a next generation sequence (NGS) gene panel for a metabolic syndrome group, a non-alcoholic fatty liver accompanying metabolic syndrome group, and a normal control group free of the disease; a step of producing an NGS library using the NGS gene panel; a step of generating NGS data from the produced NGS library using an NGS analysis instrument; and a step of screening SNP determined to have clinical significance based on bioinformatics analysis, it was confirmed that SNP that was not detected in the normal control group and was significantly detected in the metabolic syndrome group and the non-alcoholic fatty liver accompanying metabolic syndrome group. Therefore, the SNP may be useful for early diagnosis and prediction of metabolic syndrome and risk factors closely related thereto.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
