The safe course search method and a return method for a ship sailing the North Pole comprise: a step in which a risk inference module considers floating ice information based on weather information of the North Pole from a starting place to a destination of a ship sailing the North Pole to generate a ship moving risk for each preset first distance in response to a course request; a step in which an optimal route guide module uses the generated ship moving risk to search and generate a plurality of safe courses generated in different routes from the starting place to the destination of the ship; a step of sailing the North Pole along a first safe course selected among the plurality of safe courses generated by the optimal route guide module; a step in which a curse escape detection module detects a course escape of the selected first safe course under a preset condition; and a step in which the optimal route guide module provides a second safe course closest to the ship except the first safe course among the previously searched and generated plurality of safe courses to allow the ship sailing the North Pole to safely return in a safe course.
