The present invention relates to a catalyst composition for a hydroformylation reaction and a method for preparing an aldehyde using the same, and more specifically, it includes a specific phosphite-based ligand and a transition metal compound within a specific content range, thereby greatly increasing the use amount of an expensive transition metal compound. While reducing, it provides a catalyst composition excellent in activity or stability of the catalyst, and it can be applied to a hydroformylation reaction to provide a high productivity while providing a non-linear (iso) aldehyde with excellent reaction efficiency.
