The claimed device relates to teaching aids, namely to scientific instruments for demonstrating the destruction of cylindrical shells, and can be used in the educational process in universities. The technical result provided by the device is to improve the visibility of the demonstration of the destruction of a thin-walled shell due to a more accurate correspondence of the nature of the destruction to the main provisions of the theory, as well as to increase the safety of the demonstration by reducing the pressure required to destroy the model. The demonstration unit consists of two plates 1 and 2, between which is placed a model of a thin cylindrical shell 3, weakened by a longitudinal cut 4, sealed from the inside of the shell with adhesive tape 5. On the bottom plate there is an air supply unit 6 and a rubber seal 7. The plates are fastened together with studs 8 with nuts 9.3 ill.
