FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to forensic medicine. Morphology of fractures of long tubular bones formed when a human body falls from an altitude is examined and evaluated. Version of landing is denoted as follows: vertical-upper landing – 1; vertical-lower landing – 2; horizontal-front landing – 3, horizontal-rear landing – 4, horizontal-side landing – 5. Localization of bone fracture is designated as follows: 1 – fracture from upper metaepiphysis area; 2 – in upper one-third of diaphysis; 3 – in middle one-third of diaphysis; 4 – in lower one-third of diaphysis; 5 – in lower metaepiffysis; 6 – in upper meta-epiphyze combined with diaphysis; 7– in several diaphysis segments; 8 – in diaphysis combined with lower meta-epiphysis; 9 – in upper and lower metaepiffysises; 10 shows bone destruction throughout. External load direction is defined as follows: 1 is load along longitudinal axis; 2 is transverse axis load relative to anatomical limb axis; fracture plane is denoted by: 1 is transverse plane; 2 is transverse axis plane; 3 is skew plane; 4 is spiral fracture. Type of fracture is denoted by: 1 is not fragmented; 2 is coarse-fragmented; 3 is multifragmented; 4 is fragmentary-fragmented. A prediction coefficient is calculated by the claimed formula. If the coefficient value is 2.0 or less, the drop height is less than 10 m. If the value in range of 2.1–2.4 m is obtained, then the drop height is from 10 to 19.99 m. If the obtained value is in range of 2.41–3.0, then the drop height is from 20 to 29.99 m. If the coefficient is in range of 3.01–3.7, the drop height is 30 to 39.99 m. If the coefficient value is in range of 3.71–3.9, then the drop height is from 40 to 49.99 m. If value of coefficient 4 and more, body drop height is 50 m and more.;EFFECT: method enables to standardize signs of morphological injures of long tubular bones, which eliminates subjectivity of evaluations of the expert and improves accuracy of prediction of height of body fall in case this parameter can not be established when clarifying circumstances of incident by evaluating complex of most significant parameters.;1 cl, 3 tbl
