FIELD: soil or rock drilling.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control of depth of position of an electronic probe in a head of a drilling tool with horizontally directed drilling during drilling under ground. Substance: readings (D1) of the depth of the electronic probe location on the locator-receiver display at the level of the earth's surface (position L1) are taken. Then, locator-receiver is lifted by value not less than half-meter relative to earth surface (position L2) and readout (D2) of depth of electronic probe location is displayed on radar display at new level (position L2). Third measurement point is entered and readings (D3) of the electronic probe location depth are taken. Depths L1'(m) and L1'' of electronic probe position are calculated under the ground by means of similarity method of triangles, based on values of readings D1 and D2, and also D2 and D3 accordingly. Derived values L1'(m), L1''(m) are compared. If the obtained values are within 0.95 ≤ (L1'(m)/L1''(m)) ≤ 1.05, it is assumed that any of the two depth values within the instruments error corresponds to the actual position of the probe under the ground. If the two calculated values of the depth differ from each other more than within the specified limits, the actual depth L1''(m) is used as more reliable.;EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy of determining position of electronic probe of drill head in presence of passive jamming.;1 cl, 6 dwg
