METHOD FOR EARLY DIAGNOSIS OF CERVICAL BIRTH INJURIES IN INFANTS

Collecting complaints and anamnesis, monitoring the infant's behavior in the mother's breast. During the medical history collection, attention is paid to the mother's complaints to the child's explicit preference for one breast with refusal to take the opposite breast, the attempt to persistently apply the infant to the other breast is accompanied by a categorical refusal with the expressed anxiety, in case of turn – fast turn of head back and crying of baby. That is followed by a clinical examination, detecting a head support turn in one direction, an attempt to bring the head to the other side provokes a painful reaction in the form of crying, flattening of the occipital bone on the side of the preferred turn, asymmetry of physiological reflexes: Moro, Babkin, Robinson, Galant, weak support reflex from legs, asymmetric cervical tonic reflex. A cervical spine unit is diagnosed on the basis of these signs, which is confirmed by X-ray.;EFFECT: method enables diagnosing atraumatically and in early periods, provides early prevention of complications in the form of severe pain syndrome, torticollis and skull asymmetry, stimulates the symmetrical reflex activity of the infant, method improves family quality of life by eliminating infant anxiety during feeding.;1 cl, 2 ex
