Foldable counter and method for building the foldable counter

A foldable counter includes a front part, a worktop and a shelf. When the counter is set up, the front part has a rear side facing the worktop and a front side facing away from the worktop, the front side and the rear side being main sides of the front part (1). The positioning plate is connected to the front part via at least one positioning plate hinge and can be pivoted to the front part. The counter has at least one shelf support to secure the shelf in an assembled state of the counter. A support surface of the shelf support is supported by one of the two main sides of the front part in the assembled state of the counter.
