A component supply device (100, 500, 600) for providing components at a pick-up position is described. The component feeder (100, 500, 600) has (a) a chassis (110); (b) a mechanism for conveying the components to a supply structure (186) in or at which the pick-up position is; (c) a drive (115, 520, 542, 544) having a stationary component which is coupled to the chassis (110) and a movable component (540, 552) which is coupled to the provision structure (180, 186) and (d) a control unit for controlling the drive (115, 520, 542, 544) such that the provision structure (180, 186) can be moved at least along a Z direction with respect to the chassis (110). According to the invention, the component feed device is designed as a vibration conveyor (100, 500, 600) which has an actuator system for vibrating the supply structure, the drive for moving the supply structure along the Z direction being realized by means of at least one actuator of the actuator system. Furthermore, an assembly system (630) with such a component feed device (100, 500, 600) and a method for providing components using such a component feed device (100, 500, 600) are described.
