Process for the preparation and purification of a solid mixture, in particular for the separation of fluorinated organic compounds from a sand separated from the solid mixture, the solid mixture, in particular the sand, being brought into contact with a first adsorbent component, which first adsorbent component comprises a chemical compound or a chemical compound which contains a lipophilic group, the lipophilic group being selected from a group consisting of alkyl groups, which preferably comprise at least one octylene unit, aryl groups and aralkyl groups.
