The invention relates to a switching group (1) for a drive train of a motor vehicle for the needs-based coupling and decoupling of a drive shaft (14, 15) of a drive train, with an actuator (2) for actuating a locking element (6), a switching rod (8) and a the shift fork (9) connected to the shift rod (8), the first drive shaft (14) and the second drive shaft (15) being arranged coaxially to one another, the locking element (6) blocking an axial displacement of the shift rod (8) in a first shift position and releases in a second shift position, the shift fork (9) engaging in a groove (19) of one of the drive shafts (14, 15), actuation of the shift group (1) causing an axial displacement of a drive shaft (14, 15), wherein a clutch (50) between the first drive shaft (14) and the second drive shaft (15) is opened or closed by the axial displacement of the shift fork (9).
