Characterized in that a model car, both alone and in cooperation with other vehicles, depicts true-to-life road traffic. The system should also be able to be integrated into existing systems with minimal effort. The basic functions such as driving, regulating the speed, keeping the correct distance and stopping behind the vehicle in front are carried out by the model cars independently and without external influence. For this purpose, the vehicles actively communicate with each other. In addition, communication between various modules and the model cars is provided, which can actively generate protocol data and send it via an infrared interface. There is further communication between the model car and an intelligent module, which can independently evaluate internal information of the model car and take appropriate actions. This communication is based on a protocol to be protected.
