The invention relates to strains of Trichoderma reesei whose inducibility of promoters of the cellulase genes is modified. The expression of cellulases by these T. reesei strains is induced by the presence of an inducing substrate, said inducing substrate having no or little inducing effect on an unmodified T. reesei strain, while keeping the inducibility of cellulases by their inducing substrate.
