The invention relates to a device for launching and recovering a marine vehicle (2) from a ship, said system comprising a raft (1) comprising side walls (11) and a bottom (12), said raft (1) comprising an open rear face allowing entry into the raft (1) and exit from the raft (1) of the marine vehicle (2). A movable partition is adapted to be placed at the level of the open rear face of the raft. Said device further comprises a handling device adapted to deposit said marine vehicle (2) in the raft (1) and to extract it therefrom. The raft thus formed, which remains permanently in water, forms a secure basin for launching and retrieving marine vehicles, as well as for carrying out operations on said marine vehicles. The invention also relates to a ship comprising such a device.
