The present invention relates to a stapling machine (100) intended for stapling two superimposed components, comprising, a stapling head (Tf) including sliding mounted members (Cs, Ccp), intended to implement the stapling, a shaft (T1) intended to drive said members. According to the invention, the stapling machine comprises a first casing (C1), a second casing (C2) adjoining said first casing, the first casing (C1) carrying a rotary drive means (N1) of said shaft (T1 ), the stapling head (Tf) and its sliding mounted members (Cs, Ccp) being arranged in the second casing (C2), one end of the shaft (T1) being disposed in the first casing (C1) for allowing the rotary drive of said shaft via said rotary drive means, the other end of said shaft being disposed in the second casing (C2) to allow the drive of said members (Cs, Ccp). A single shaft is sufficient to implement the operation of the stapling machine of the invention. Its operating rate is relatively fast. The presence of the two housings makes it possible to separate the drive function of the shaft from that of the operation of the stapling head.
