The invention relates to an aircraft propulsion system comprising a fuselage, and an airfoil, in which the propulsion system comprises a first propulsion device located at the rear part (4) of said fuselage and consisting of at least one BLI propellant (1) comprising a blower (8); a second propulsion device consisting of at least one conventional propellant (11); and a transmission device coupling the first and second propulsion devices. The second propulsion system thus generates the energy necessary to rotate the blower (8) of the BLI thruster (s) (1). The thrust produced by the propulsion devices contributes to generating the total thrust of the aircraft. In this propulsion system, at least one conventional propellant (11) constituting the second propulsion device is located on one side of the rear part of the fuselage (4) between the tail of the fuselage and the wing of the aircraft.
