A method of taking a sample of body fluid for visual measurements relating to elements of interest in the sample, comprising the steps of: preliminary acquisition (200) of element concentration of interest on a solution from the sample, resulting in a measurement (WIC) of the concentration of elements of interest in the sample; a comparison (300) of said measurement (WIC) of the concentration of elements of interest in the sample against a threshold; depending on the result of the comparison, a dilution (330) of a test solution obtained from the sample, according to a determined dilution rate so as to bring the concentration of elements of interest in the test solution to a concentration optimal; an image (500), by an imaging device, of the test solution transferred into an optical chamber.
