The invention mainly relates to a method for removing at least one weight (15) from a molded part (10) comprising: - a step of molding a part (10) by a foundry molding technique, said part (10) comprising at least one weight (15), - a step of demolding the part (10), and - a step of cutting the weight (15) by means of a cutting tool, and - while the part (10) is still hot following the demolding step, said method comprises a step of locally cooling a portion of the part (10) located in front of the cutting tool, so that said portion of the part (10) cooled located in front of the cutting tool has a compatible temperature for its cutting by the cutting tool.
