The invention relates to a cane (1) for sucking liquid paint comprising an upstream tube, a flexible intermediate tube (14) and a downstream tube ( 16) rigid, which includes a downstream elbow (42). The downstream tube (16) delimits a succession of passage sections (S16) defining centers (C16) constituting a trajectory (T16), the downstream elbow (42) extending along a curved part (49) of the path (T16), along which the passage sections (S16) are of substantially discoid shape and have a preferably constant diameter (Ds16). According to the invention, to avoid imposing an excessively strong curvature on the intermediate tube while offering a reduced pressure drop for the paint passing through the rod and while being easy to manufacture, the curved part (49) is shaped like a flat circular arc, presenting a radius of curvature (Rc16), the ratio of the diameter (Ds16) to the radius of curvature (Rc16) being less than 1.
