A method of estimating values of an additive metric respectively associated with links (Lj) of a network (R) comprises the following steps: - for a plurality of sequences of values respectively assigned to the links (Lj), generation of d 'a respective plurality of series of end-to-end values respectively associated with paths by calculating, for each series, the end-to-end values of this series on the basis of the values assigned to the links (Lj) in the sequence corresponding to this sequence; - implementation of a learning phase in a neural network by applying the end-to-end values of a series respectively to neurons of an input layer of the neural network, and by comparing the values produced by neurons of an output layer of the neural network respectively to the values of the sequence corresponding to this sequence, and; - estimation of the values of the additive metric respectively associated with said links (Lj) by applying measured end-to-end values (y1, y2, yi) respectively to the neurons of the input layer of the neural network.
