[Purpose] To provide a system where a trainman can recognize the movement of passengers quickly and accurately, and additionally provide the arrangement of cameras having fewer blind spots. [Means for Achieving Purpose] Cars 111 through 116 respectively have on either side of the car two doors 121 and 122 or 123 and 124, front and rear, and two cameras 131 and 132 or 133 and 134 that are arranged so as to face different directions between the two doors 121 and 122 or 123 and 124. A monitoring system 100 controls the display so that a number of camera images taken by the cameras 131 and 132 or 133 and 134 on each car are allocated to the respective divided areas in the display region of each monitor 141 and 142. The camera images are allocated to the respective areas on the basis of information that indicates the direction in which the train moves and the side where the doors open.
